![]() Amazing level design, simply blown away by the way it works, wish it had a checkpoint). Some levels seem like they're missing checkpoints. Lots of fun to play, but a few things I wasn't thrilled with, but they're mostly minor. I'm not a hardcore Mario player, the thought of Kaizo just doesn't appeal to me (so spankin' new I signed up on the boards just to comment on this game), and this game is right in my wheelhouse. This is the first time I've needed to open a hack in Lunar Magic to find an exit. I took a lot of deaths because of trying to spin jump on a lotus or a piranha plant out of habit. The ability to spin jump on pretty much every enemy has been removed. Just a personal taste thing, I do not like all the paths/exits showing before I've unlocked them. World 4 starts going SUPER heavy on autoscrollers and it keeps up through the rest of the hack, including 2 up-and-down motion sickness autoscrollers. ![]() This was novel to me and I like the idea. Some levels have choose-a-path sections with one path for Yoshi and one for no Yoshi. ![]() There are tons of 1ups and powerups in general so the 1ups don't matter much, though. The levels are generally large with multiple paths with optional secret goodies like 1ups and powerups. Levels and sprites are appropriately themed, like bandit koopas on a train or parka koopas in a cold level. ![]()
